Hi I am interested in a concealed carry permit.  I have thought about it  a lot and would like some input from others.  My Husband and I farm we are in our 50's have 3 grown sons.  We run a small business from our house, so I see the need for the CC.  There are many times I have to go out & greet people by myself.  Only had a couple of times that felt something was off.  My wonderful dog Misty always goes ahead of me to greet who ever comes in.  She has only acted "funny" 2 x.  But what if she wasn't there?  Good question.......I have a 2" snubby and not sure what kind of holster to buy.  It is a little difficult for women to conceal.  Any suggestions from wives or girlfriends?
Thanks a Bunch!

Once again your insight and wisdom is awesome!  My next step in practicing at close range.  I will admit it is a little intimidating !  But I'm sure I will get used to it. Thanks again for your info.  I have a couple of books from Masad and have watched some of Clint Smith's videos.  Both are very helpful.  Just need to get out there and shoot some more.  For father's day my Hubby wants to go shoot!  How sweet is that?! Have a great day!

He's the one who should be sweet and grateful,, he's one step ahead of me as I never found a wife who liked to shoot with me.   Don't be intimidated there's nothing to be afraid of, just follow the four rules for safe gun  handling.  Everyone was a beginner sometime.  If you go to a range and say you are a new shooter and ask for help..  I don't know of a shooting range out there who doesn't provide assistance. (and I have been to a lot of ranges in over fifty years of shooting)   Even gun shops, particularly for the ladies.  There may be a few bad apples who might try to put a lady with an inappropriate gun (i.e. short barrel, lightweight, with the hottest +p++ ammo out there... but it's rare.    Even the lightest of target 38spl loads will go through three wall ten feet apart, including six layers of drywall, two layers of wood paneling and two layer of 28ga sheetmetal.   DON'T start with hot loads, it's not needed.  You work up to the hottest that you are comfortable with (don't carry a load that you haven't shot or practiced with,   A self-defense situation is not the time to be surprised by the flash and kick of your ammo.     Ever have any questions,  just post them and I'll try to get to them as soon as possible.  davway
