Phoebus, a company which was primarily in the searchlight/stagelight business, has now entered the tactical lighting world in a big way. I am currently testing one of their Rescue LED models.  What makes this one unique is that by changing out a body extension piece, this all aluminum light can be made to run on either 1 Lithium 123A or 2 standard AA penlights.  More to follow.

Scott can you post some photos of these new lights or any updates? It's good to see more companies entering the tactical market with high-quality lights.
Corey,
I will work on getting those posted. Scott
Here are the two Phoebus Lights of which I spoke earlier. The photo shows their head mounted light, which has a seperate battery pack which holds three AA penlights in the compartment that fits at the right of the head. This allows the actual light itself, fitted on the front, to weigh next to nothing. The light itself, has a lens that pulls out to allow it to adjust from a full flood, to a much brighter square shaped spotlight beam. The light has an of and off switch over the lens assembly. With the lens pushed in or extended, press the on button once for full power on, a second time for low power on, a third time for a slow speed signalling strobe. This would be a great light for an area search such as we just had in Ohio looking for four murder victims who were later found in a wooded area of Knox county Ohio. Pictured with the LED headlight is the Phoebus Rescue-the model which allows you to switch between CR123 batteries and AA penlight batteries, by simply adding the extension tube, pictured with AA penlights in it. Its a handy system to have around when batteries fail.

Any word on the retail price for these lights?

Here are the two lights Scott was talking about above.
Thanks corey, I didnt know how to make the picture appear. I used the Phoebus Headlamp while jogging the other night. It balances great (as I thought it would) due to the batteries being on the back of the headset. For a light like this, it is incredibly bright when focused on the long range setting! When set on a wide spot, it is more than adequate for seeing your way even when moving relatively quickly, like when running. It didnt change its focus when jostled.

The MSRP on the Phoebus Headlamp is $48-The Convertible Rescue Light is $60. Pretty reasonable
