I call it progressive pacification.  Step 1 teach that the 2nd amendment no longer applies and that all guns are bad news.  Step 2 bankrupt the country and the social network that supports it.  Step 3 have no foreign policy,at least not one that makes any sense, but continue to pay foreign aid to countries that do not support our way of life, and that would be very elated when we fail.  Step 4 inflate the cost of living to were nobody can afford to exist as a free citizen.

Given the current state of affairs around the world, especially the middle east, does anyone besides me see a Civil World War conflict in the not to distant future? 

If things don't change for the better soon, and I don't hold much hope of that happening, I don't know where to align myself.  I sure don't think I can support the current administration policies, with all the progressive advisers being a large part of the problems.  I am a very small cog in the machine w/o any affect on how the machine operates, and as a veteran my hands are presently tied by my oath to support and defend the Constitution and Our Country.  So I wait for that overt act of throwing the Constitution out the window, and prepare for the worst the best I can.  Given my lack of not seeing a side to align with, all I can do is deal with what comes to my doors.  Of course I am open to any reasonable ideas, short of insurrection.

Every member of our State and Federal governments took the same oath as we and vowed to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.

 

And yet they don't live up to that oath. Our southern border is an open thoroughfare for any alien entity desiring entry into the US. Our country is being invaded and our government sits idly by. Our government has abandoned our western states and shirked its duty to defend our borders, and even enters into law suits siding with foreign countries against our own sovereign states. Very little makes sense anymore, except that I sense corruption at every level, starting at the very top. The Constitution seems to be more of a door mat to this administration and its advisers than a road map to Liberty and Freedom for all.

 

I choose to align myself with those who would uphold the Constitution and it's Bill of Rights and live up to their oath of office. Anyone not doing so, and thus abdicating their oath of office, should be removed from office via any legal means necessary and appropriate.

 

And I agree, insurrection and violence is not an answer.

This country was much more civilized when it was less civilized. People did much fewer stupid and rude things when they thought they could get bitch slapped for it and held accountable. Now nothing can be done without the police and the system which is already streched to thin. The school boards are run by enlightened schmucks that are using it as a stepping stone for higher office , if someone normal with common sense gets elected they can't accomplish anything because of the others. As far as service goes I am in no way againist it but when you look at what is in command it is very desturbing. Look at what happened to McCrystal, you don't get judged on performance only if you suck up correctly the way the idiot above wants. Speak truth or facts and it offends some polidical piss-ant with the power to affect your life or livelyhood. The only ones that are going to come out ahead are those judged to be enlighted enough to be in the group, everyone else dosn't count or is cannon fodder.

Yep, right on point.   The Progressives started the takeover of our public schools during the Wilson administration and they have slowly been creeping along, waiting for the right President to come along, and now they have one in Obama.

 

Go back and think about the things you learned in public school and how many of those were later found to be not true.   Like George Washington and the cherry tree-Not True, a fable started by the progressives to diminish the importance of Washington.   And there's hundreds more of these.   The progressives have their hands in choosing each book for use in public schools.Today it is totally acceptable to teach our kids and grandkids about the benefits of communism and why the US should consider it instead of our Constitution.   And public schools are constantly putting down the Constitution and everything it stands for.   The new world order and the UN domination of our once proud country is their goal.

 

We MUST start in our schools if we ever hope to get back to a United States that we remember.   Home schooling is the preferred method but not everyone can afford to have a mother home teaching the kids.   And the progressives just hate home schooling because they (progressives) are the only ones who know what to teach your kids.   Just ask Al Gore, he tells your kids you don't know anything about the world.

 

I can go on for hours but this message needs to get out now.   Teach your kids the real meaning of the US Constitution.

The decline of society began in the late 1800s with the immigration of Eastern Europeans. These immigrants came from countries that were leaning towards Socialism and where trade unions were a powerful force. As time has passed, we have had countless Communists and Socialists. They have infiltrated academia, media and education. It's hardly news that our schooling has progressively less education and more indoctrination. Go to any public college campus, you will find them there. While Joseph McCarthy's methods were deplorable, his belief was correct. There are many Marxists in Hollywood. Do you remember  "The China Syndrome" or "Enemy at the Gates"? The reason we were unable to prevail in Vietnam was thanks to Communist sympathists in media including Walter Cronkite. You will recall his famous broadcast following the Tet offensive, "America has lost the war." In fact the Communists masterfully manipulated the media and the student movements and made them allies. Now we have a President who has nationalized auto manufacturers, car dealerships and banks. This is no different than what Hugo Chavez is doing. The Castro brothers still rule Cuba with an iron fist. Then we have Evo Morales who is a Castro protege. All of the gay agitation and easy divorce have worked to undermine the American family. That's where it all starts. Also, they villify and slander gun owners. Communism is not dead; it has just been resting.

I would say side with the citizens that are prepared and who back our constitution. There will be those who sit back and say "O Well" which you cannot do anything with or about. They will be the victims and deserve what they get. Those who are just plain idiots and lack an I.Q. above 50 will be obstacles and will have to be removed in whatever way dictates at the time. These are the ones who support those who have caused the trouble we are in. I know that my life won't last longer than a day or even an hour when the time comes to act but being a veteran I will fight for our country, Constitution and Bill of Rights. Just watched the news concerning Bin Laden and watched as someone said "the jobs done maybe we can bring our troops home". This is the mentality that we don't need. I see many young screaming America and crowding the streets but yet not serving they're country!!

While IMHO this is a GREAT day for JUSTICE, the war is not over.  Don't know how anyone could think just because we sent OBL to met Allah, that's the end.  This ongoing battle has been happening for over 2000 years.  No I would say it is not over and sadly nobody gets to come home yet.  God Protect Our Troops, until they can come home in peace.

Bin Laden will never see God. Usama denies the diety of Jesus. Usama is a mass murderer. God will send him to a bottomless pit to roast for all eternity. Furthermore, "Allah" is not God's name. God's name is "El Shaddai" or "Yaweh" or "I am." All I can say is I'd like to light the match and start the roasting.

When I was in high school, my wood shop project was to build a gunstock for a .22 semi-auto rifle that my uncle had given me.  That rifle was in my school locker for at least 2 months.  Not today, I would have been charged as a felon expelled and jailed!

All the comments are on track.  There was a socialist undercurrent in this nation that had a door opened to it in the turmoil of the 60's and got its first true victory with the withdrawl of our forces from Vietnam.  This legitimized the Left and those souls who were in the streets in the 60s have now infiltrated the education system, the media, and the government.  What was formerly suppressed in society and government now has an open conduit.  This is what has allowed Barack Obama to be elected.  Don't call them "pacifists".  The Left has gotten to where it is through aggressive, offensive tactics and the conservative Right of this nation should more aptly be called "pacifistic".  The only way balance can be re-attained is for the middle-of-the-road American to stand up and say "enough", but the public education system is working overtime to make sure our kids are thoroughly indoctrinated with political correctness and liberal socializing to ensure this doesn't happen.  This is why we have home schooled our kids.  I have not sought to indoctrinate but to encourage self thought and a fundamental respect for the Lord and the values this nation was founded upon.

Yes, Lin, congratulations on home schooling.   the indoctrination effect you mention has taken its toll, but there are still many free thinkers from this system who have learned the truth and are willing to stand against the progressive agenda.

We all need to encourage more of this and put the progressives back into their closet.

Wanted to wait a few days for the disinformation to settle and the truth bear out.

First I would like to Thank the Special Forces Team (Whoever you are and called these days) that took out OBL.  JOB well Done!!! for seeing that justice was delivered for all that lost loved ones on 9-11.  Remain true to the Oath and keep the Faith.  Thanks Again for taking out the rabid terrorist and disposing of the trash, a thankless job.

May God protect you and keep you all save wherever you may have to go and whatever you do.
