AR this,AR that!!  Ok we get it!!!  The AR is a great gun and you can add just about anything but the kitchen sink to them,but lets give the AK-47 some recognition!!  I just purchased one a couple months ago after doing more than a year of research and a whole lot of comparing different makes and models and prices.  Yes,I did consider an AR-15 but between the prices,caliber,and the fact that everybody's mother's brother owns one I went with an AK.  When I received it from my gun dealer,the very next day I purchased some "cheapo" (no manufacturer name mentioned) ammo and went out to a great place to give this "BAD BOY" a "Test Drive"!!  When I got to the area I like to go shooting,I saw that someone else was also enjoying their 2nd amendment rights as well!!  What really got me though was seeing that he also was shooting an AK.  That was really cool considering all the people that own an AR!!  There were clay pigeons set up all over at differant distances so I picked one out that was right at 100 yards and let the first (of many,many) rounds fly.  One shot,one clay pigeon!!!  I was very impressed right off the bat!!  I mean I didn't even zero this thing and nailed that pigeon at 100 yards with open sights!!  Not bad right out of the box (a cardboard box)!  Yes they could have done better at packing this for shipping but I received it in very good condition luckily. 

What I would like to read is more about the AK or the people that own one.  I mean come on alreadythe only thing you can't do with the AR is jump on,kick-start it and ride across country!!!  Don't get me wrong,it is a GREAT rifle but lets talk about one of the ALL-TIME GREATS!!
